I remember  my  father making photocopies  for his classes by using a  mimeograph machine.    As  I  grew  older,  he started to use black and white photocopy machines,  which  led  to inkjet printers  and then laser printers.
I  later  learned  that  the  auto industry    utilizes    a    similar magnetic   painting    process  when spraying car paints onto  oppositely  charged  surfaces.

In  my  paintings over the past
16    years,    I    have    slowly developed a handmade version  of    image    production   that  work on  the  same principals
as    magnetic   toners,   paints,  and inks.  My process requires me     to     create    my    own
pigments,  tools, and methods
of      composition.     Through magnetic energies, I play in the paint  as  a  series  of  very fluid points  with  an accompanying  forcefield.   I  take  pleasure  in making   concrete  objects that  also  expand  the  idea  of  the painted  visual  field  to  include
the invisible.  The traces of  my marks   include   two   types  of vibrations : the  visual  spectrum  (experienced   as   color),   and  the magnetic  (experienced  as force).
